Lucas Digne has said that Barcelona is the "perfect place" for the young Frenchman to "progress" after putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Spanish champions.
Digne officially joined the La Liga outfit from Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, with the 22-year-old believed to have cost in the region of £13.8m, which could rise to £17.1m depending on bonuses.
The full-back, who spent last season on loan at Italian outfit Roma, has revealed his delight at joining "the best club in the world".
"I hope to be here for many years. It's the perfect place for me to progress, and I'm happy about serving the best club in the world," Digne told reporters at his official unveiling.
"I have a style of play that corresponds with Barca's. I fit well in the idea of attacking a lot and recovering the ball high up the pitch. It's the perfect style. My style of play is very attacking. I like to attack, but I know that a modern full-back must also defend and I've improved a lot in that aspect.
"Playing with all these stars will allow me to develop a lot. There are great players at all the big clubs, and I've become more mature and come here from a good season with Roma. I'm young and I want to improve and work every day to reach the very top. I'll train all I can to prove that when the coach needs me, I'll be there."
Digne is believed to have had a release clause of £50m inserted into his five-year deal.
