Barcelona's Lionel Messi: 'We must keep winning'

Barcelona are obliged to continue winning trophies despite their incredible success this year, according to Lionel Messi.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has insisted that his team will not dwell on their success from this year as 2016 approaches.

The Catalan giants won the Champions League, Copa del Rey and La Liga crown last season, before claiming the Club World Cup earlier this month.

Barca will also end 2015 atop the La Liga table following their 4-0 win over Real Betis on Wednesday, but Messi has claimed that his side's focus is already on the new year.

"We have a squad who still want to keep winning. Repeating 2015 will be difficult, but we'll try," Messi told reporters.

Messi made his 500th Barcelona appearance in the league clash against Betis, scoring his team's second in the first period.
