Andres Iniesta: 'Pre-season performances have been positive'

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta thinks that the Catalan outfit should be positive with their pre-season performances in the United States.

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has said that he feels his side's preparations for the new campaign have thus far been successful.

The Catalan outfit have played three friendlies since arriving in the United States, and after beating Los Angeles Galaxy lost to Premier League opposition Manchester United and Chelsea.

The defeat to Chelsea did come on penalties after a 2-2 draw, however, and Iniesta believes that their performances have been "positive".

"There are positive things and others to improve, as always early in the season," Iniesta told reporters.

"We'll continue trying to prepare in the best way through training and matches and, beyond results, I think we should be positive."

Barcelona do not open their La Liga season until the weekend of August 23.
