Sergio Busquets hails Xavi

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets lavishes praise on club and former Spain teammate Xavi.

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has branded Xavi as "the best Spanish player of all time".

Xavi, 35, made 133 appearances for Spain between 2000 and 2014 and played a key role in their European Championship victories in both 2008 and 2012, and World Cup success in 2010.

A host of great players have graced the La Roja shirt, but Busquets believes that club teammate Xavi is the best of the lot.

"Since I started [my career], I've always been close to [Xavi]," Busquets told reporters.

"We've always been successful together, and [Xavi] has always been an example to us all. For me, he's the best Spanish player of all time."

Busquets has also played alongside Xavi at Barcelona since 2005.
