David Luiz to miss Barcelona Champions League clash

A thigh injury will keep David Luiz out of Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League tie against Barcelona.

Laurent Blanc has confirmed that David Luiz will miss both legs of Paris Saint-Germain's upcoming Champions League quarter-final encounter with Barcelona.

The Brazilian limped off with a thigh injury during his side's 3-2 win over Marseille at the weekend.

A scan has revealed that the centre-back will require a month on the sidelines, which will keep him out of the two meetings with the Catalans.

Blanc also revealed that midfielder Thiago Motta will be out of action for 10 days with a muscular complaint.

As a result, he is likely to miss the first leg next Wednesday, but should be available for the return match a week later.
