Barcelona injury, suspension news vs. Celta Vigo: Will Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski feature?

Will Yamal, Lewandowski feature? Barcelona injury, suspension news vs. Celta

Barcelona will be aiming to return to winning ways in La Liga when they travel to Celta Vigo on Saturday night.

The Catalan outfit entered the November international break off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad, but they remain top of the La Liga table, six points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid.

Hansi Flick's side have played a game more than the reigning champions, though, and they will be desperate for their strong start to the season not to go to waste, making this a hugely important fixture.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Celta, who sit 11th in Spain's top flight, boasting 17 points from their first 13 games of the season.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Mallorca)

Araujo will again miss out for Barcelona against Celta, but the centre-back has revealed that he is making excellent progress in his recovery from a hamstring operation, with his return set to come in early December.

Andreas Christensen

Status: Out Type of injury: Achilles Possible return date: Unknown

Christensen remains on the treatment table with an Achilles problem, and it has been reported that the Denmark international has had a setback in his recovery, with the defender set to be missing for at least another couple of months.

Marc Bernal

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, and he is out for the season, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Barcelona will be missing their number one goalkeeper Ter Stegen for the remainder of the season due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in the clash with Villarreal on September 22.

Ferran Torres

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Celta)

Barcelona have been without the services of versatile forward Torres due to the thigh problem that he suffered during his side's clash with Alaves before the October international break, but there is a slight chance that the Spaniard could be back this weekend.

Eric Garcia

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Celta Vigo)

Barcelona have been without Garcia for their last five matches due to a muscular problem, but the Spaniard is in the latter stages of his recovery and could be back in the squad this weekend.

Lamine Yamal

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Celta Vigo)

Yamal was absent against Real Sociedad last time out and also did not represent Spain during the international break due to an ankle problem, but there is a slight chance that the 17-year-old could be back in the squad for this match.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Barcelona revealed last week that Fati had picked up a thigh problem during a training session, and the attacker now faces a battle to be available before the winter break in Spain.

Robert Lewandowski

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Back Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Celta Vigo)

Lewandowski did not represent Poland during the international break due to a back problem, and the striker will now need to be assessed before it is decided whether he will take on Celta this weekend.
