Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Athletic Bilbao

Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona will attempt to win their first piece of silverware this season when they meet Athletic Bilbao in Saturday's Copa del Rey final.

While the Catalan giants remain in the La Liga title race, their early exit from the Champions League has led to extra priority being placed on this competition.

Ronald Koeman's side head into this contest having had their 19-match unbeaten league record ended by a 2-1 defeat at rivals Real Madrid.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest at Estadio de La Cartuja.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Fati continues to recuperate from the serious knee injury he sustained in November, and recent reports have indicated that he may need to undergo surgery for the third time, so he will not be back any time soon.

Philippe Coutinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Coutinho is yet to feature in 2021 after suffering a knee injury against Eibar in December. It has since been revealed that the Brazilian will undergo surgery on the issue, resulting in the playmaker missing the remainder of the season.

Neto

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 17 (vs. Athletic Bilbao)

Goalkeeper Neto recently suffered an ankle sprain, subsequently ruling him out of the last two fixtures. However, the backup stopper could return to the squad at the weekend, taking his spot among the replacements.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: April 17 (vs. Athletic Bilbao)

Earlier this week, it was reported that Dembele has been playing with a groin issue. While it has been suggested that the winger should be available this weekend, his participation is far from a certainty.
