Eric Abidal will reportedly travel with the France squad during this summer's European Championships in Poland and the Ukraine.
The French defender will not feature in the tournament after he underwent liver transplant surgery last month.
However, he now wants to follow his teammates to lend them his support, according to France Football.
France begin their campaign against England on Monday, June 13.
