Juanfran Garcia not expecting Barcelona repeat

Levante defender Juanfran Garcia says that his side's 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the league on Sunday will not influence their Copa del Rey meeting on Wednesday.

Levante defender Juanfran Garcia believes that their 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the league at the weekend will count for nothing when the two sides meet in the Copa del Rey.

Barcelona travel to Valencia for the second time in three days for the first leg of their quarter-final meeting with Levante this evening.

However, Juanfran has predicted an entirely different fixture than the league clash on Sunday.

"I don't think the game will be similar to Sunday. Both teams will have a lot of rotation so it won't be the same 22 on the field," he told reporters at a press conference.

"We believe in the league before the cup as well and playing two straight games against Barca stretches you. Our team will see a number of changes. The league is what feeds us."

Juanfran recently made his 100th appearance for Levante.
