Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Royal Antwerp

Barcelona injury, suspension list vs. Royal Antwerp

Barcelona will be aiming to get their 2023-24 Champions League campaign off to a winning start when they welcome Royal Antwerp to Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

The Catalan giants have recorded four straight wins ahead of this match, including a thumping 5-0 success over Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday night.

Xavi's side have failed to make it out of the group stage of the European Cup in their last two campaigns, though, so there is plenty of room for improvement this time around.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Royal Antwerp, who are currently fifth in Belgian's first division.

Pedri

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Pedri is currently on the sidelines with a thigh problem, and the Spain international is not expected to return until the middle of next month at the earliest.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: September 23 (vs. Celta Vigo)

Araujo is currently sidelined with a thigh injury that he picked up in training, but the central defender is now in the latter stages of his recovery and could be back next weekend against Celta Vigo.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona do not have any suspension concerns for this match.
