Augsburg have been held to a 1-1 draw by Freiburg at home in the Bundesliga.

The hosts went ahead in the ninth minute when Tobias Werner fired in from outside the penalty area after being teed up by Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker.

The visitors pulled level just before the half-hour mark when Jonathan Schmid found the target from close range.

Minutes later Augsburg's Matthias Ostrzolek came close to adding to his side's tally when he shot just wide.

Callsen-Bracker too could have etched his name on the scoresheet in the 57th minute had his shot from long range not been saved by Oliver Baumann.

Ten minutes later Augsburg goalkeeper Mohamed Amsif denied Anton Putsila, before Baumann turned away Stephan Hain's header from close range in the 79th minute.
