Jose Antonio Reyes close to Galatasaray move

Galatasaray are closing in on the signing of Atletico Madrid attacker Jose Antonio Reyes, according to the club's president.

Speculation has been rife within the Spanish media that Reyes was seeking a transfer away from the Vincente Calderon.

Gala have now confirmed their interest and are hopeful of sealing a deal this week.

"The news coming out of Spain is correct," president Unal Aysal told Turkish television.

"We have met with [Reyes] and if our coach thinks that the move would be good that he could be here tomorrow."

Reyes, 28, joined Atletico in 2007 from Arsenal.
