Report: Chelsea open Diego Costa talks

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with Atletico Madrid over the transfer of Diego Costa.

The Spain international has scored 27 goals in La Liga this season and is believed to be on top of Jose Mourinho's list of potential summer signings.

According to the Daily Mail, Mourinho is keen to complete a deal for the striker before the start of the World Cup.

Costa, who has a £32m release clause in his contract, is expected to be part of the Spain squad in Brazil.
