Report: Atletico Madrid agree £17.5m fee for Mario Mandzukic

Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed a fee of £17.5m with Bayern Munich for the transfer of Mario Mandzukic.

Mandzukic has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Bundesliga champions after admitting that he did not feel he could produce his best form under Pep Guardiola.

Robert Lewandowski left Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer to join Bayern this summer, which paved the way for Mandzukic to leave the Allianz Arena.

According to Bild, Atletico have won the race to secure the Croatian's services, and a five-year deal will be confirmed at some stage over the next few days.

Diego Simeone's side are looking to bring at least one striker to the Vicente Calderon after Diego Costa was sold to Chelsea, and have also been linked with Manchester City's Alvaro Negredo.
