Atletico Madrid announce the signing of Ligue 1-winning left-back Reinildo Mandava on a three-and-a-half year deal from Lille.

Atletico Madrid have announced the arrival of left-back Reinildo Mandava from Ligue 1 champions Lille.

The 28-year-old displaced Domagoj Bradaric as Les Dogues' first-choice left-back in the 2020-21 season and became an integral part of their title-winning crop.

Reinildo started 24 Ligue 1 games last term as Christophe Galtier's team marched to the league crown, while he scored his first goal for the French champions against Lorient barely two weeks ago.

However, Atletico have now confirmed that Reinildo has joined the club on a three-and-a-half year deal, joining the La Liga champions now rather than in the summer as previously expected.

The Mozambique international leaves Lille having registered one goal in 87 appearances across all competitions for Les Dogues and follows Daniel Wass to the Wanda Metropolitano this month.

Despite Reinildo's arrival, Yannick Carrasco is expected to stay at Atletico following rumours of a potential late switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
