Lucas Hernandez pleased with breakthrough year

Atletico Madrid youngster Lucas Hernandez says that 2014 was "a complete year" after breaking into the first team at the Vicente Calderon.

Atletico Madrid youngster Lucas Hernandez believes that 2014 has been "a complete year" for him.

The highly-rated centre-back has made the step into the Atletico first team this season and has impressed during the early stages of his Vicente Calderon career.

Inside Spanish Football quotes Lucas as saying: "2014 has been a complete year for me. I trained with the first team in pre-season, I've trained with them regularly during the season, debuted in the Copa del Rey and now participated in a league match.

"It's unforgettable. It's been great and making my debut at San Mames was special too."

Lucas has also broken into the France Under-19 setup this campaign.
