Diego Godin: 'Angel Correa can become one of the best'

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has said that Angel Correa has the potential to become "one of the greatest players in Europe".

Correa, 20, initially joined Atletico in the summer of 2014, but did not make his first-team debut until earlier this season after needing surgery to correct a heart problem.

The Argentine has impressed in the early part of the campaign, and Godin has backed the youngster to reach the very top of his sport.

"Correa is a different kind of player. He has a lot to give and to develop, but he has the most important thing, talent, and he offers that," AS quotes Godin as saying.

"He'll continue to learn a lot and become one of the greatest players in Europe."

Correa opened his scoring account for Atletico in their 2-0 win over Eibar earlier this month.
