Atletico Madrid midfielder Gabi has insisted that the Spanish side will challenge for trophies next season.
The capital outfit finished third in the Spanish league last season, but they won the UEFA Super Cup and the Copa del Rey with victories over Chelsea and Real Madrid respectively.
"[Diego] Simeone has managed to strengthen the team as it deserves," the 30-year-old told reporters at a press conference.
"We are a champion team, we have won three titles in two years and now we have another title on the line, so we expect to win."
Radamel Falcao left the club this summer to join Monaco, but David Villa arrived from Barcelona.
