Atletico Madrid midfielder Diego has said that it was a pleasure to represent the club during his loan spell in Spain this season.
Diego, who is expected to return to parent club Wolfsburg in the summer, had a central role at the Vicente Calderon under manager Diego Simeone and was an important part of the club's Europa League success.
"In Spain I have lived magical moments," he said. "It's generated great pleasure, wearing the shirt of red and white together.
"This season was positive on both an individual and collective level and I'm delighted."
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg finished their season in eighth place in the Bundesliga.
