Markel Susaeta signs new Athletic Bilbao deal

Athletic Bilbao midfielder Markel Susaeta has signed a new four-year contract extension with the Spanish club.

The 24-year-old, who previously had just one year remaining on his contract, had reportedly attracted the interest of Manchester United.

However, the Spaniard has committed his long-term future to the club that he joined in 2006.

Susaeta's buyout clause is now understood to be in the region of £28m.
