Athletic Bilbao end winless run at Levante

Athletic Bilbao earn a 2-0 victory at Levante to end their seven-game winless run in La Liga.

Athletic Bilbao have ended their seven-game winless run in La Liga with a 2-0 victory at Levante.

Chances were few and far between during the first half, but the visitors came close to scoring on 12 minutes when Iker Muniain rattled the crossbar.

However, Bilbao made the breakthrough three minutes after the restart as Aritz Aduriz showed quick feet in the box before firing into the bottom corner.

With Levante pushing for an equaliser, the away side sealed the points in added time as Aduriz calmly slotted in following an incisive pass from Markel Susaeta.
