Atalanta BC and Roma are goalless at half time of their Serie A meeting this afternoon.

Maicon had the first attempt on goal of the game, but his long range effort sailed wide.

Roma came close to opening the scoring when Marquinho's strike was pushed wide by the keeper.

The home side had a good chance to take the lead, when a free kick fell kindly to Franco Brienza inside the box, but Morgan De Sanctis kept out his low effort.
