Stephen Warnock nearing Bolton Wanderers loan deal?

Aston Villa defender Stephen Warnock could soon make a season-long loan move to Championship side Bolton Wanderers.

The 30-year-old is understood to be a distant thought in Villa manager Paul Lambert's plans for the new Premier League season.

Warnock, who can also play in midfield, may now complete a temporary move to Bolton before their weekend match against Sheffield Wednesday, according to The Mirror.

Bolton currently sit 15th in the Championship table with just six points from their opening seven games.
