Ron Vlaar edges closer to Aston Villa move

Feyenoord defender Ron Vlaar has edged closer to a move to Aston Villa after he was reportedly spotted being shown around the club by manager Paul Lambert.

The Eredivisie side have told the 27-year-old that he can leave if a suitable bid is made.

The Dutch international is now thought to have been all but signed a contract at Villa Park, according to The Sun.

Vlaar was part of the Netherlands team that failed to win a game at Euro 2012.
