Aston Villa declare interest in Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho

Aston Villa have made a bid for Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to the player's agent.

The Premier League outfit are believed to be interested in the 20-year-old, who has fallen out of favour at the Italian club and was loaned out to La Liga outfit Espanyol last season.

"I can confirm Aston Villa made an enquiry for Coutinho," agent Cacau Barbosa told FC Inter News. "They want him but with all due respect for the proposal made to Philippe, at this moment there is still nothing concrete to suggest an exit from Inter."

Reports have claimed that Southampton have also been tracking the midfielder.
