Aston Villa 'agree deal to sign Wigan Athletic's Grant Holt on loan'

Aston Villa have reportedly agreed a deal with Championship outfit Wigan Athletic for the services of striker Grant Holt on loan.

Villa manager Paul Lambert confirmed last night that he is interested in being reunited with the 32-year-old, who played under the Scotsman at Norwich City.

According to Sky Sports News, Holt will undergo a medical today before completing a deal that will keep him at Villa Park until the end of the season.

Holt left Carrow Road to join Wigan on a three-year-contract at the end of the 2012-13 campaign.
