Sunderland are believed to be planning a bid for Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor.
The 25-year-old played under Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill before the Irishman left Villa Park two years ago.
O'Neill could now put a £6m bid on the table for the England international, according to The Mirror.
It is unclear whether Agbonlahor will be part of new manager Paul Lambert's plans at the Midlands club.
