Tottenham Hotspur consider James Collins switch

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Aston Villa defender James Collins.

Manager Harry Redknapp is thought to be keen to add a centre-back to his squad as cover for the injury-prone pair of Ledley King and Michael Dawson.

Villa could allow the 28-year-old to leave for £3m, according to The People.

Collins has also been linked with moves to Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United.
