Lee Hendrie: 'Aston Villa need to make more signings'

Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie says that the club needs to make more signings after fighting relegation for the past two seasons.

Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie believes that the club need to make more signings before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

The 37-year-old told Sky Sports News that the Villa squad needs 'shaking up' after his former employers have been in the relegation fight for the past two seasons.

"I think the last two seasons we've really struggled and we've been fighting in that relegation zone," Hendrie said.

"For the fans' sake, we need to mix it up in the transfer window."

Aston Villa host Newcastle United in Saturday's early kickoff at 12.45pm.
