Aston Villa reportedly send scouts to take a look at Porto forward Moussa Marega ahead of a potential bid this summer.

Porto forward Moussa Marega has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Aston Villa.

Villa are currently looking to earn a place in next season's Premier League, with the West Midlands outfit facing Fulham in the Championship playoff final on May 26.

However, it appears that Villa are already assessing their options ahead of next season and according to The Mirror, interest is being shown in Marega.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed an impressive campaign with the Portuguese giants, with 22 goals being netted in 29 league appearances, and the Malian's contribution helped the club win the title.

Marega has just over two years remaining on his contract, but a move to England appears a possibility with Everton and West Ham United having previously been linked with an approach.
