Ron Vlaar hails "dream" Aston Villa move

New Aston Villa signing Ron Vlaar has claimed that joining the club is a "dream come true".

The 27-year-old defender sealed the move from Dutch side Feyenoord on Wednesday and has already expressed his desire to become a legend at the club.

Vlaar made a particular point about his desire to play at Villa Park, a stadium which he described as "fantastic".

"For me it's a dream come true," said the centre-back.

"If you look to the stadium it's fantastic. I used to play for a club that also has a very nice stadium and I look forward to playing in all the stadiums, and playing in Villa Park, I really look forward to that."

Vlaar, who had been at Feyenoord for six years before his move, has also made five appearances for the Dutch national team.
