Stephen Ireland warned over behaviour

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has warned Stephen Ireland about his conduct, after a risqué picture of the midfielder was posted on the internet.

The 25-year-old was pictured shirtless and using a hookah pipe on the internet before The Sun republished the photograph last week.

"What was it? A shisha pipe or something?" McLeish commented.

"It is not my world the way the players live now with tweeting and posting pictures of themselves.

"I have discussed it with him — you don't want to be bringing attention to yourself, is what I think."

Ireland signed for Aston Villa for £8m in 2010 from Manchester City.
