Tim Sherwood: Aston Villa have "no fear"

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood insists that his side will have "no fear" when they take on Premier League champions Manchester City.

Tim Sherwood has insisted that his Aston Villa side will have "no fear" when they take on Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend.

The side, who secured a place in the FA Cup final with victory over Liverpool last weekend, are not yet safe from relegation.

The manager told the club's website: "We are not going there for a damage-limitation job. We are going there to impose ourselves on a very good Man City side.

"They have players who can win the game on their own. We have to make sure we nullify them and then hopefully our team ethic can be better than theirs.

"We go there with no fear. I always stress to the boys, don't be afraid to lose a football match and make sure we have a go. They are beatable. We have seen them lose at the Etihad Stadium this season. We believe we can go there and win."

Villa currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, three points clear of the relegation zone.
