Alex McLeish unimpressed by drink-driving incident

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has revealed that he is unimpressed with Barry Bannan, who has been banned for 18 months for drink-driving.

The 21-year-old has also been given a £4,500 fine after he crashed his car on the motorway last month.

"We take a very dim view of the incident in which Barry was involved," said McLeish. "He has been deservedly punished and we have also taken action internally."

The West Midlands side travel to Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday.
