Keane exit due to bust-up with players?

Roy Keane reportedly decided to leave his role as assistant boss of Aston Villa because of a bust-up with several senior players.

The club announced last Friday that Keane has departed following a five-month stint as Paul Lambert's right-hand man.

The 43-year-old claimed that he was struggling to juggle the job, his role as Republic of Ireland assistant boss and time with his family.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Keane and Lambert mutually decided that the Irishman should leave after he had a row with several players during a training session at Bodymoor Heath last Thursday.

Reports have claimed that the former Manchester United captain's relationship with a number of senior players became strained after he felt that there was a lack of intensity in training.
