Fabian Delph not thinking about England call

Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph claims that he is more concerned about doing well for his club than receiving a call-up to the England squad.

Fabian Delph has claimed that he is more concerned about doing well for Aston Villa than receiving a call-up to the England squad.

The 23-year-old midfielder has earned plenty of praise this season following a string of impressive performances in the Premier League.

However, Delph insists that he just wants to help Villa climb the table before he starts thinking about being part of the Three Lions setup.

"I'm just happy to be playing and giving 100% for my club," he told the Birmingham Mail. "If the call-up did happen that would be great, but my priority is here, Aston Villa.

"For me personally it's about putting in the performances for my club and if something did happen then that would be great."

Delph moved to Villa Park from Leeds United in 2009 for an undisclosed fee.
