Aston Villa's Darren Bent 'gutted' at loss of number nine shirt

Aston Villa striker Darren Bent has expressed his disappointment at losing the number nine shirt to Nicklas Helenius.

The out-of-favour forward admitted that he was "gutted" after being assigned the number 39 jersey for the upcoming season.

"Gutted to lose my number nine shirt. Unfortunately one of those things I have to deal with," Bent wrote on Twitter.

Bent has been tipped to leave Villa Park this summer after falling behind Helenius and Christian Benteke in the pecking order.
