Jordan Ayew: "I am the happiest man in the world"

New Aston Villa signing Jordan Ayew has said that joining the club is one of the "greatest days" of his career.

The 23-year-old has penned a five-year contract with the Villans for an undisclosed fee after spending last season at Lorient.

"I am the happiest man in the world," he told the club's official website. "It's one of my greatest days in football.

"My dream was to play for a big team in England - and Aston Villa is undoubtedly one of the greats in English football.

"I know all about the Premier League because I have a big passion for football. I watched all the games when I was in France. I know all about the team and I know all the players by name."

Jordan's older brother Andre Ayew joined Swansea City last month.
