Willian admits that he is in a "difficult" situation at Chelsea with his current deal due to expire at the end of June.

Willian has admitted that he is in a "difficult" situation at Chelsea as the Brazil international enters the final weeks of his current deal at Stamford Bridge.

The experienced attacker, as it stands, will be out of contract at the end of June, although it is understood that his deal will be extended if the 2019-20 Premier League campaign is allowed to resume.

The 31-year-old is thought to be unlikely to stay with Frank Lampard's side beyond the end of the current season, though, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both said to be monitoring developments.

Willian has said that he wants a three-year contract at Chelsea, but the club are only prepared to offer a two-year deal as the attacker is over the age of 30.

"It's a difficult situation because Chelsea offered me two years and they are not going to change what they offered. I said I wanted three more years," Willian told Esporte Interativo.

"The situation is difficult because of this. I really don't know if it will be possible [to stay]. My goal is to continue working and focus on the remainder of the season, so that Chelsea can continue winning games. I have a clear head and I'm focused for the rest of the season that we have left. I think it's difficult [to stay]. Let's see what happens."

Willian has scored seven times and registered six assists in 37 appearances at club level this season.
