Arsene Wenger: 'Jeff Reine-Adelaide will not be leaving on loan'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals that he has no plans to allow midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide to leave the club on loan next season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide will not be leaving the club on loan next season.

The 17-year-old made his first start for the Gunners in their 1-0 victory over Wolfsburg in the Emirates Cup and put in an impressive display.

However, the Frenchman has warned potential suitors that the midfielder will not be available for a loan move due to his desire to see him develop at the Emirates Stadium next season.

Wenger told reporters: "He will definitely be here. He is 17 years old and looks very promising, but he needs to work with us now for a year with the first team, to play with the U21s and develop.

"There is a fantastic potential there and he will stay with us."

Reine-Adelaide joined Arsenal in May from Lens.
