Theo Walcott delighted by Mesut Ozil arrival

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has revealed his excitement at the signing of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid.

The German international joined the Gunners for a club-record £42.4m on transfer deadline day.

"It's very exciting," Walcott told reporters. "I played against him for England Under-21s, he showed his qualities then and he has showed them since.

"He's a great addition and personally I'm looking forward to playing alongside him."

Ozil has penned a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.
