Report: Walcott will not be sold

Arsenal will not cash in on contract rebel Theo Walcott in January, according to reports.

The England international's contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the season and despite lengthy negotiations, a new deal has yet to be agreed.

Rumours had suggested that the club would choose to offload Walcott in the upcoming transfer window to avoid losing him on a free next summer.

However, Sky Sports News reports that Arsenal will keep hold of the forward and are confident of retaining his services long term.

Chelsea and Manchester City are thought to be monitoring Walcott's situation.
