Report: Arsenal target Mario Balotelli swoop

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli.

Arsene Wenger is said to be an admirer of the Italian international, who has been named in his country's 23-man squad for this summer's World Cup.

According to The Mirror, Milan see him as surplus to requirements and are desperate to trim their wage bill.

It is believed that Wenger attempted to bring Balotelli to the Emirates before his move to Manchester City from Inter Milan.

Since moving to the Rossoneri in January 2013, Balotelli has scored 30 goals in his 54 games for the club.
