Report: Arsenal turn attention to Sporting Lisbon's Diego Capel

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel in a bid to bring new faces to the Emirates before the close of the summer transfer window.

With 11 days to go in the market, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that the club's spending "starts now" following their failure to land big-name targets.

It is understood that Capel, who was linked with a switch to Liverpool, could be sold to Arsenal by the Portuguese outfit for the price of around £6m, according to The Express.

Liverpool are said to have had an offer of £3m rejected by Sporting.
