West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew: 'Still no offers for Jonny Evans'

Pardew: 'Still no offers for Evans'

West Bromwich Albion head coach Alan Pardew has said that no clubs have made an offer to sign Jonny Evans since the start of the January transfer window.

Manchester City and Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the Northern Ireland international, with the Baggies allegedly looking for £23.5m for one of their key players.

However, despite the speculation, Pardew has insisted that there is "nothing to discuss" with either team opting to make a formal bid for the player's signature.

At a press conference, the 56-year-old said: "None. Is it a worry it's dragging on? From my point of view there is no bid so there's nothing to discuss."

Evans - who has 18 months remaining on his contract - has made 20 starts in the Premier League during the current campaign.
