Manchester City reportedly have no intention of allowing John Stones to move to Arsenal during the January transfer window.

Arsenal will reportedly fail with any approach for Manchester City defender John Stones during the January transfer window.

Having recently been appointed as the new manager at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his backline for the second half of the campaign.

Over the past 24 hours, the Spaniard has been linked with a reunion with Stones, with whom he worked during his time as City assistant.

However, the Manchester Evening News says that City boss Pep Guardiola is not interested in parting ways with Stones this month.

Injuries and inconsistent form have resulted in the England international spending time in and out of the starting lineup since the beginning of August.

The 25-year-old has made just nine starts and two substitute outings in the Premier League and Champions League.
