Klaas-Jan Huntelaar heading to Arsenal for medical?

Netherlands international Klass-Jan Huntelaar has boarded a flight for London to undergo a medical with Arsenal this evening, according to reports in the Dutch media.

The Gunners have reportedly triggered a £12.75m release clause in the Schalke 04 striker's contract with the Bundesliga club.

According to De Stentor, Huntelaar is currently travelling to London to undergo a medical with the club before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.

The 31-year-old joined Schalke from AC Milan in 2010.
