Gael Clichy for Manchester City move

Arsenal defender Gael Clichy is expected to sign to Manchester City shortly.

The 25-year-old is thought to be heading to Eastlands in a £7m deal once he has agreed personal terms and undergone a medical.

The player, who has a year remaining on his contract, had also been the subject of interest from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

He joined the Gunners from Cannes in 2003, since which he has made 187 league appearances.

Meanwhile, manager Arsene Wenger is also facing the loss of captain Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona and midfielder Samir Nasri to Manchester United.
