Arsenal or Liverpool will reportedly have to cough up a fee of £40m to land Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer.
The 24-year-old continues to impress with assured performances in the heart of the Seagulls' midfield, where he boasts one goal from 34 Premier League appearances this season.
Graham Potter's side have ensured top-flight survival for the 2021-22 campaign, but Bissouma is still being linked with a move to a European-chasing club.
However, a recent report claimed that Arsenal could be priced out of a move for the Mali international, and The Sun now claims that Brighton are demanding £40m for one of their most prized assets.
The report adds that Brighton are desperate to keep hold of Bissouma, but the Seagulls are aware that they might be powerless to stop him leaving for the right price, and they have already identified a possible replacement in the form of Reading's Josh Laurent.
Bissouma still has another two years left to run on his Brighton deal, and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the former Lille man.
