Brighton & Hove Albion, Barcelona chase Ignasi Miquel.

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly in talks with Arsenal over a possible loan deal for Ignasi Miquel, while Barcelona are also said to be planning a bid for the defender.

Brighton & Hove Albion and Barcelona are said to be interested in signing Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel.

The 19-year-old centre-back made just nine appearances in all competitions for the Gunners last season and, with Thomas Vermaelen, Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Johan Djourou and Kyle Bartley in his way, he is unlikely to improve much on that tally in the near future.

Talks are ongoing over a season-long loan to Brighton, while Barcelona are considering a £300,000 bid for the player, according to talkSPORT.

Miquel would be likely to feature as a prominent member of the Seagulls' first team, while the La Liga giants reportedly intend to place him in their B team if they are successful with their offer.
